Spring into Action with Laurel – Growth, Community, and Celebration in Bloom!

March came in like a lion and is going out like a lamb…a saying I remember hearing as a kid now: will April showers bring May flowers? The change in weather/season/clocks seems to have caused an upward tick in everyone’s activities.

  • ·      The Main Street Festival Planning and Sponsorship Committees have been hard at work to make this year’s festival (Saturday, May 10th) the best yet…meaning there are a lot of meetings

  • We need about 20 – 30 volunteers for various parts of the festival; applications are available on our website with a description of the different types required and the time shifts for them.

  • We are still looking for sponsors for the festival so if you would like to earn some gratitude, become a sponsor….applications and information are on the website.

  • We will continue to accept vendors of all sorts until April 15th, this is a hard deadline, with no exceptions.

  • All applications are available on the website…Vendors, Parade, Sponsors, Volunteers.

  • If you are a Main Street Merchant, please use the special application for you.

  • We hosted an exciting Ribbon Cutting and Open House to celebrate our new office (located at 13 C Street, Unit A)…check out the photos on our Facebook page!

  • This month’s Network meeting was hosted by member Bianka Mbeng, owner of Pleroma Cuisine in person. According to the photos on Facebook, it was a lot of fun!
